What is HypZert ESG scoring?

HypZert ESG scoring is an innovative, standardised procedure for assessing the sustainability risks of properties. It not only takes into account traditional valuation factors, but also integrates key ESG criteria such as environmental impact, property condition, building characteristics and energy efficiency. The application provides a pragmatic solution for assessing ESG or sustainability risks and offers you a visualisation of the sustainability characteristics of a property at a glance. The scoring model was developed specifically for the requirements of property valuation.

How HypZert ESG scoring works

Our ESG scoring follows a clearly structured and transparent process in four steps:

1. Data collection: Four criteria groups with qualitatively and quantitatively measurable criteria are defined for ESG scoring based on the market and property rating. Quantitative (measurable) criteria, such as final energy consumption and CO2 emissions, can be taken from the energy performance certificate or determined with the help of an energy classification tool. For the qualitative criteria, we provide exemplary measurement standards that can form the basis of the assessment.

2. Assessment according to criteria: Using our four key criteria groups - environmental impact, land, building and energy - we assess a property's sustainability criteria both quantitatively and qualitatively.

3. Determination of the ESG score: The ESG score is determined by a transparent and comprehensible weighting of the individual criteria. It provides a comprehensive overview of the sustainability performance of the property.
