25 Years HypZert

We look forward to a warm greeting from Singapore

The foundation of HypZert was triggered by the criminal behaviour of an individual: A so-called "building lion" named Jürgen Schneider had applied for and received large-volume loans from various banks in the 1990s to finance his rapidly growing real estate empire.

Nick Talbot, CEO of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) congratulates HypZert on its 25th birthday. HypZert has been an IVSC member since 2018 and is involved in the Advisory Forum and the Europe Board. Together, IVSC and HypZert stand for high standards in valuation, in Germany and worldwide.

Wayne Nygard, who has been active in different roles in the real estate valuation business in the United States, is a true bridge-builder and a friend of HypZert from the very early days on. After many years of collaboration, Wayne has become a member of HypZert’s Steering Committee where he adds a truly international perspective.

Every HypZert valuer knows her very well: Annett Wünsche, Department Head Valuation at the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp). Having been with the vdp since 2007, she not only knows HypZert inside out, but above all the regulatory basis for the work of HypZert valuers. We are particularly pleased to be able to present her own HypZert story today:

Today: Our Accreditation

Almost every HypZert valuer knows and appreciates him: Michael Debus, Chairman of the Committee of Valuation Experts for the area of the City of Frankfurt a.M. and a long-standing member of HypZert's Board of Examiners.

In the previous articles in our statement series, only certified HypZert valuers had their say. Today we pass the baton to Manuel Jahn, Head of Business Development at Habona Invest GmbH in Hamburg and a long-standing member of the HypZert Professional Group Retail. 

Rudolf Baumgartner, a HypZert valuer from the very beginning, takes us on his journey through 25 years with HypZert.

Who would have thought it - when HypZert was founded, we reckoned with around 300 potential valuers in banks. In 2010, we were able to award our 1,000th certification certificate.

As you may know, the topic of "women's quota" is not an issue at HypZert. Our team consists of 8 women and 2 men. For a long time, the quota of our certified valuers was very "male-heavy", so the first lady naturally stood out. That is why we start our statement series with her, one of the first HypZert certified women: Gabriele Höfert-Voigt.
